I heard 9 applicants, 1 currently on staff, TJ Maynard, the fairview guys, and a couple from out of state. Anybody heard of a front runner?

Maynard didn't apply. He was contacted and given first refusal. The process will not go forward until his accepts or declines the position.

He was given "X" number of weeks to decide. Not sure when that time is up.

I have heard today that a decision is very close to being made by Coach Maynard....is nothing confirmed so I will not say at this time.

I don't think that it would be very ethical to post until absolutely positive.

If I were Raceland I would make the decision for him and fire him. If his heart was at Raceland it would have been easy to have declined.

It was second hand info but I was told that TJ had resigned from Raceland. Anyone have knowledge of that?

I kinda hope your info is correct and I am a Raceland fan. TJ is an above average coach but has trouble getting his team motivated for big games.

I cannot say for certain bc I have not personally talked with T.J. Maynard, anyone in the Raceland school administration, board, etc.. I did speak with an individual pretty close to the situation and they said..."no word yet". That does not mean that Maynard has or has not made a decision, just that the person I talked with hasn't heard yet.

I believe that word will come out, one way or the other in the not too far future. Untill then I don't see any reason for anyone to say what they would or would not do. At the end, coach Maynard will make the decision that he feels is best for him and his family. That's jmo.

At the time of this post, I can tell you that this is not true. I am not saying he is staying or leaving but I do know that he has not given any decision to either school.
