If thats the case with the soph class, they need to be playing.

I don't think it's the case. Not ready yet.

The post I replied to was one stating that sophomores should be getting minutes. Why would I mention the Juniors or Seniors in that reply? I mentioned it in response to your post because you brought it up.

Was really waiting to see how you answered the "how is the JV team " doing question. You came up with the most bland response possible. Not what I was expecting after what you told me after the Cooper JV game. BTW, are you sure about that .500 record thingy?

Simply answered the question that was asked. Never really sat down to compute the won/loss record because it really does not matter to me. Maybe some of these kids can continue to work hard and progress to the point where they can help the varsity out down the road for a minute or two. Only time will tell.

That is what I said earlier. IMO they are not ready to contribute a lot yet, but when half your total roster is sophomores then some are forced to play.

To each his own. I think it is childish for a coach to put 15-18 year old young men in "time-out".

He outta make them run gassers all day today instead.

Against better judgement I will bite. The JV hasn't come together yet but you have some very skilled football players in the group and I am not sure you have high basketball IQ. The frosh has played well together but they were out of football early and had extra weeks of practice.

Varsity is missing size and still working roles. I know a few frosh that could certainly help JV ranks but they could certainly use the year to mature and learn and build confidence. The program is in the right direction.

Lastly, I think you are going to see a few boys stick to basketball and baseball at least in the frosh class and that will help the programs in the future.

Two 6'5 kids on the post are not tall enough Hellbird?

Highlands would love to have those two kids considering they have 6'1 Drew Houliston playing Center on a 2-3 zone this year.

There is tall and there is tall and physical. Last year they had Big Lou who would put up the points as well as play some great defense underneath and they had Shelton who may have been the most underrated big man in the region who was a beast on the defensive boards.

The big kids on this team are improving and it's nice, but not where last years big men were.

Who is the kid that played last year that was the QB on the football team? Someone asked me the question on Saturday and I could not remember.

Morris was the QB but I bet JOAT is thinking of Collins. He was the football RB and a heck of a basketball player.
