Of these four, I think HC has a definite edge based on how they have achieved on the court and vs. these other teams this year. Only Scott has a chance to upset the apple cart with a win tomorrow night. The Eagles do have home court advantage and Senior Night incentive which will make for a very close game. However, I was more impressed with HC than Scott, even though Scott actually played very well the night I saw them vs. Ryle. Scott and SK split so I rate them tied even though I give a slight edge to SK due to Hester. Scott has played a little tougher schedule than SK IMO. Dixie's schedule is one of the most brutal in the whole state.

hester did horrible against scott last friday at the game i believe. He didnt look like the same guy i saw in the beginning of the season. He should of stepped up since Blevins was out. He missed his shots bad, and he just upped his stats with a worthless three at the end when it really didnt count. They were already down by 5.

Blevins has been out for some time now. Something like 3 weeks to a month and Hester has stepped up in every game. Just because he didn't have 25 pts against Scott doesn't mean he played "horrible" he still had 3 rebounds 10 assists and 17 points.

Your right it is my opinion though that scott is better than SK still.. and i respect your opinion from earlier skfan good post. However, during the losing streak for scott they missed starters. For a few games starting guard chris whitehead was out and chris quigley was out against russel in the 8 pt. or so loss and their would be a definate difference. as for the other games, scott played some tough teams like bishop brossart, holmes (before their drama) , covcath , highlands, pendleton, and campbell (while missing sharp and whitehead, and still loss by only 5).

Fair enough Dirtybird!!We can agree to disagree then. I hope SK keeps Scott on the schedule twice next season. Regardless of the outcome these have been down to the wire exciting games.I look for SK to schedule a lot more in the 8th region next season. I hate that they didn't play Newcath and Highlands this year.

Agreed... however, i feel that Scott will not be able to handle SK next year, and of the three kenton co. teams, dixie will be the worst off. Look for SK to do big things with their Junior dominated lineup (this year) in the next season.. however in two years, i don't think scott nor' SK will be that great unless some kids step it up or unless they both receive transfers.

Neither one, really. Simply put, anyone who thinks Dixie is better than Scott is ignoring the fact that Scott has beaten them twice.

While I think Holy Cross is #1 until Tuesday night, I can't see how anyone can rank SK & Dixie in front of Scott since Scott beat Dixie both times and split with SK.

 

 

I can see why Scott would be ranked ahead of Dixie but since when does a split make one team better than the other? I still think if these four played in a tournament you'd probably have a different winner every time.

Is it overkill when UNC and Duke matchup? They are all usually quality programs so I don't see the big deal.

Thats so stupid.. they separate Kenton co. by putting SK in the 8th Dixie in the 9th and Scott in the 10th and make them play each other twice a year.. that seems a bit irrelevant.. i think they only did that to keep heated rivals between the three schools.

1) Scott - Beat Dixie and just beat SK and will beat HC tomorrow which is why I put them at the top.

 

2) Holy Cross - beat both Dixie and SK.

 

3) Dixie - Lost to HC and beat SK.

 

4) SK - Lost to HC, Dixie and split with Scott but the when was the second game of the season.

I don't see why everyone is bashing Dixie here. They lost to Holy Cross in overtime on a last second shot, lost to Scott in overtime by 1 point, beat SK, and their only big loss to Scott was without Lawson, a top 3 player in the region. Dixie could beat these teams and that is plainly obvious.

I have one thing to say about as far as playing HC & Scott, "Could of & should of does not equate to wins".
