Bill Nye invited for a debate at the Creation Museum

Featured Replies

There is something that is being ignored here. I believe God created everything. I don't believe the creationist take on it.

I hate when people categorize it only 2 ways, either the science side or the creationist side.

I believe god created everything, bit how he created the universe can be proved with science. Who is to say God didn't create the universe through the big bang etc.?

sorry but using science to explain things does not disprove God. God created science. Just sayin

There are two types of people.

People who divide people into two types, and people who don't.

Who or what created God? If there's a creater, then something had to create the creater. No one has ever given me an answer to that question that makes one bit of sense.

If you go by the principle of causality, there must be a First Cause. I believe that to be God.

I wonder if either gentleman can find any common ground/a peaceful co-existence of the two sides.

Bill Nye is just crushing Ken Ham.

They both are making good points. Personally I think they are both wrong. I wish it were more a back and forth format though.

I think they could if Ham wasn't so dead set on the earth only being only 6000 years old. I can live with creationism, but not in that time frame.

So far all Ham has said is, "We didn't see it so we don't know how long it took." And show that there are scientists that believe in creationism.

Bill Nye is just crushing Ken Ham.

I watched the first hour and had to turn it off because I was watching on my phone and battery was dying.

All I will say is Ken failed miserably IMO. His answer during his 30 mins was "scientist say so and so is millions of years old, I don't believe it because I didn't see it" type of responses is just stupid.

His arguments were horrible.

Ham would say so and so is a scientist and he believes in creationism so that must make it true.

He showed no proof of anything.

I think he had a good rebuttal. I like how Hamm mentioned that evolutionists have a degree of belief and faith in their ideology as well.

Bill NYE's knowledge of canonization of the bible is showing itself as poor. I loved how he explained the lake in Washington with the boulders.

My son said someone on twitter said Nye called kentuckians a bunch of hicks. Can anyone confirm that?

Hey, I didn't see Congress pass all of these income tax laws. I'm not sure they exist, I'm going to quit paying taxes.

No, he did not. He urged them to consider science.

I didn't catch it. He spoke of ky and "hills" I did not hear him say hicks. It may have been the most provable point he's made though. Lol

Except for maybe how animals unique to places like Australia got there from the Middle East, how were are receiving light from stars more than 6000 light years away, and my favorite one that there were actually animals that were carnivores before the great flood. Does anyone really believe that lions and tigers were vegetarians.

If the theory of evolution is true than it is very possible that they were. If creationism is true then it is very possible that it is true. I think Pangea separated after the flood so the kangaroos were closer to Australia than our present maps show. It is also possible that the flood did not cover the entire planet but "the world as Noah knew it." I personally disagree him Hamm's ideology but am entertained by this debate.

What were the sharks eating? How about penguins in Antarctica where there is no real vegetation?
