Good win for Burgin!!! Any stats?

Pendleton County is having a really down year & I know nothing about Burgin, but I was a bit surprised by the score.

I am too but I am happy for Burgin anytime I see them in the win column.

I've got nothing...I most likely won't make it until Saturdays games. I thought PC would win this one. They did play 3 games in South Carolina over the weekend sandwiched between a pair of 12- hour bus rides.

I watched Burgin a few weeks ago and they play really hard. Obviously, they are short handed but a team can make up for some things with effort. If PC had tired legs, it was a recipe for an upset.

I was, doing stats at the table across from the benches. You'll probably see me in a Beechwood fleece the next two nights. Hopefully if I can get to the barber tomorrow, my hair will be significantly shorter.

Both team had runs throughout the game. Burgin had a 2 pt lead after the 1st quarter. Pendleton had a 1 pt lead at the half. Pendleton had a good 3rd quarter and had a 11 or 12 pt lead early in the 4th quarter, but with poor shooting and turnovers Burgin took the lead with about 20 seconds to go, PC missed a shot, fouled, Burgin hit 2 free throws to go up by 3. Pendleton had a last second 3 pointer to rim out to end the game.

 

Pendleton needs to handle the ball better and improve their shot selection, they are too much in love with the 3-pointer.

This would be at least the 3rd game they've built a double digit lead, only to watch it wither away. Remember, none of this team, except for Koeninger played minutes at all last year. They're still learning HOW to win.
