Where are all the posters who said the Ballard/NCC semifinal should really be the final since the "other" two semifinalists will get "smashed" on Monday night. Seems like the "other" two semifinalists held there own.........LOL

Spalding definitely would have made a difference, he was a force inside before he went out with the injury. Don't know that Trinity would have won, but his presence was missed. Very entertaining game to watch.

If and when the teams meet again (and it appears likely that they will), here's my philosophy in taking Ballard.

 

To win the game, Trinity likely has to slow it to a grind and play solid defense. Even then, it leaves them so susceptible to Ballard going on that one (or maybe those two) big runs where they push the lead out and Trinity can't recover. If Ballard gets any kind of a lead around 10-12, Trinity completely has to abandon their game plan. If Trinity jumps out to a 10-12 point lead, Ballard only ramps their game plan up that much more if I'm guessing.

 

I was surprised to see Trinity playing a quicker pace than what they played against Ballard in the LIT last season. Slowing it down seemed to work last season. Granted Ballard didn't do Trinity like they did NCC in the third quarter they did still take control of the game in the third quarter.

You need to pick a side of the fence. You dog Spindoc for saying PRP was a deserving #2. Tonight they take a step towards validating being what Spindoc said and then you seem to hop back on the wagon. Pick a side. You can't straddle all season long. Who you with?

It is not straddling. Pointing out that there is no way PRP is a deserving preseason number two in the state was merely pointing out the truth. Even Coach Mabry said they were not a number two team in the state

 

Then if you read this message board you might think that Ballard and NCC are the only two teams in the state. Again I point out ridiculous statements when posters say "PRP and Trinity would be smashed" by Ballard and NCC. I sometimes wonder if some of the posters actually go to games.

Very very few posters can go to every game. A lot rely on BGP for info and have to read in between the lines. Sometimes they are right. Sometimes they are wrong. We all see now you'll strike when they are wrong. Duly noted. :thumb:
