Collins/Highlands Updates

Featured Replies

That was a big play for Collins. I really like the Collins defense. Holes appear in their secondary every now and then, but they get pressure and play pretty good defense.

I told you Collins would be giving Highlands all they wanted.

Collins getting a lot of pressure on the Highlands QB. Getting there athletes in the backfield has helped the Titans offense, as well. They seem to be moving it better now.

Risky call to send the corner on a blitz, but it ends up with Houliston taking a blindside hit that jars the ball out. Collins recovered. They lead 10-7 at halftime.

6'4 210lb corner?

When was the last time in a state final has HHS gone in at halftime behind?

I dont know but they were down at the half to Elder I believe this season. They are not rattled. Just gotta make adjustments. They had a breakdown on that last play is all. He was picking them apart the entire way down the field prior to that.

I know that and I can't remember the game against UC or whoever early on, they were behind that gaame, but I don't remember in a state final the last time they were behind at half.

Highlands has 174 yards to Collins 170. Highlands QB Drew Houliston 146 yds passing. Collins RB Ryan Watkins 71 rushing.

I'm still looking for them trailing at the half of a state final, but the last time they trailed in a state final period was in 2009 against Christian County. The Colonels had a 9-7 lead before Highlands scored a TD with 6 seconds left in the first half.

Not sure how deep Collins is, but Highlands has been running people in and out all game. Will Collins wear down?

Time of Possession Collins 16:08, Highlands 7:52

The stands have looked empty every game. Guess the weather has kept a lot of folks at home .

Not today!

Harris 41 yards rushing.

They trailed Boyle County 14-10 at the half in 2003, AKA the last time they lost a state final. Tied with Boyle in 2004, then led at the half of each game 2007-2012.
