The Colonels have enjoyed a dominating regular season yet again & in their last five games have outscored opponents 221-12. The visiting Red Devils are 7-4 on the season, coming off an opening round win vs. Estill County. Who wins this Friday night matchup?

Bourbon Co. 54-20.

I feel that Bourbon will continue to take care of business 42-7. I still think they can win it all in 3A.

What is the word on Pope? Will he be returning to the field? If so, will it be this week?

Dalton was dressed Friday night, and tossing the ball around. The boot is off, he says just whenever he feels ready to go.

I expect Bourbon not to use him at least until against Mason County but may not need him there either, but I expect them to play him for game reps against the Royals. Just a hunch, no inside info.

Thanks ColonelPride! Wishing him good luck, hope he can return. Hate to see any kid miss out on that opportunity, especially one with his talent.

Bourbon Co. wins big. By the time this one is over some Russell fans may need some "Bourbon".

Bourbon - 52

Russell - 10

My heart says Russell...but my brain is quite sure that Bourbon will win. That being said, you can't overlook anyone, and I think that Russell will wake up the Colonels (at least take them off of cruise control). Just from a talent standpoint, Bourbon is by far the best team...but from a class standpoint, Russell is far superior. I know class doesn't have a spot on the scoreboard, but I know for a fact that Coach McGlone runs his program the right way every single day. Good luck to both teams...I must admit, I'm a little jealous of all the teams still playing.
