October 31, 201312 yr I agree it's not OK to hit a woman, but I've been hit by a lot more women that men over the years in dealing with thieves. I'm guessing he was pissed because she kicked him and retaliated without thinking, seems like it said he had a prior conviction for a similar act. Could be this dude is just a loose cannon. Which would be even more reason this guy has zero business being a cop. I would cut him some slack if they were in the middle of a scrum and reacted without thinking but she was cuffed on the ground with at least 3 officers surrounding her. She kicked at him, not even clear she hit him, and he kicked her in the face/head.

I am not saying this guy was right in what he did. With that said...your last sentence is ridiculous. I'd say it doesn't happen often but there are times when someone could be justified in hitting a woman.

I'd say it doesn't happen often but there are times when someone could be justified in hitting a woman. Very extreme circumstances. But every man should avoid striking a woman. Nothing ridicuoulus with what I said. Even if a woman is swinging you can defend without striking . Striking a woman as a man in most cases is a sign of weakness in my mind.

As it relates to police officers, they had better be ready to use whatever force necessary, including deadly force, regardless of man, woman, or child. The preconceived idea that you can't hit a woman will get you hurt badly and could get you killed. As a police officer you better be on guard for those 'extreme circumstances' at every encounter. If anyone is swinging at a police officer they earned whatever comes next. That said, the joker in the video does not need to be a cop ever again. What he did is indefensible.

I don't know how any man could look his self in the mirror after striking a woman. It's a cowards move. If a cop can't do his job without striking a woman in most cases then I'd saying being a cop isn't for him . I know there are exceptions to every rule. But I think most guys I grew up with would agree unless i'm physically in danger or life is in danger I'm not hitting a woman. If you think that is ridiculous I'd say you need to do some soul searching. In any case a woman handcuffed sitting down is not one of those a exceptions to the rule. This cop doesn't deserve a badge.
