October 29, 201312 yr The best hope is for their to be a 3 way tie between Houston, UCF, and UL. That's a possibility. My guess is it goes to the highest rated BCS team then, correct? The only way that happens is if UCF losses at home after a bye week to Houston, and than Houston wins out except for the UofL game. If UCF beats Houston on the 9th of November, UofL's BCS hopes are pretty much dead.

Two losses and Louisville isn't winning the league anyway, so no BCS. But the BCS rules simply govern who gets in. Once it comes down to making selections, the bowls observe their conference allegiances first, then will pick based on trying to generate the most interest in their game. That's how Louisville wound up in the Sugar Bowl last year. There were only two BCS-selected teams remaining and the Sugar Bowl got to pick before the Orange; they took Louisville almost solely because they thought more Louisville fans would buy more tickets. The interesting question will be if UCF wins the league and either Fresno or N. Illinois is selected as an at-large. Have to think the Orange Bowl would want UCF over either of the others.

October 29, 201312 yr This BCS talk is all a moot point because UCF isn't losing 2 games, and they aren't losing to a team that UofL has already played either. They only need to lose one, and another team have one loss.

That's the next game UCF has, and it's 11 days from now. The chances they lose that one at home after a bye are slim to none. Other than that, they'd have to lose two games to the likes of Temple, Rutgers, South Florida, and SMU. That isn't going to happen.
