October 28, 201312 yr No way Dez is on Calvin's level. He's in a group that includes Green, Jones and Fitz with no difference in any of them. Once again you're interpreting it wrong, or you just saw what was on the television. Question though, as a competitor are you not supposed to believe you're the best person on the playing field at all times?
October 28, 201312 yr They played not to lose at the end of the game. And in typical Cowboy fashion, they did. Unfortunately that's what they always do, and unfortunately that's how they always lose. I mean they didn't even really try to get a first down on their last two series', one first down in either situation may have won them the game. Instead they were content to run the ball and take four or five whole seconds off the clock. They did use Detroits time outs, but if they would have went for the first down instead of playing it safe they could have maybe ran the clock out. Instead you get a holding call that stops the clock on third down, and you punt it on fourth with a frozen clock giving the Lions time to work. It's the late game and general game management that drives me crazy about this team. It's like they're never prepared for certain situations, not like a professional team should be.

October 28, 201312 yr It's always positive when you have a loose cannon running around screaming at everyone on the sidelines. Heck of a teammate. They are rallying around him and publicly taking up for him. That's on them. If they like that kind of stuff.......more power to them. He was just too fired up. Basically giving the whole, we're better than this, we shouldn't lose this game spill (only x100). It looked horrible on camera, but from everything I read this morning it was all good. Him and Witten made up after the game and hugged it out, with Witten saying he was only trying to calm him down and get him in the moment for the last play. Dez was just pretty much acting out what the entire Cowboys fan base was feeling, he was one of the only ones who cared to lose in that fashion. I for one as a Cowboys fan love that kind of emotion and passion and if more people on the team cared as much as he did they would be alright. It's like often times they don't care whether they win or lose, they are just going through the motions. Dez was just trying to light a fire under them and get his point across (even if it did look bad). It wasn't like he was crying for balls or attention, I mean the drive after he got in Romo's ear earlier in the game (that followed with him getting zero targets but a Williams TD) he ran down the field to give him a hug. It's not about him being selfish, it's about him getting tired of stuff like this happening. The dude wants to win and thinks they should win and I'm right there with him. Like he said, "everybody knows we should have won that game."

October 28, 201312 yr Not even going to get into that debate, but dez #3 by default. Yeah be tough to get Dez above AJ on this board, but personally I think Dez has the far superior physical traits. Dez has the hands of AJ, but can bulldoze and throw guys off of him unlike AJ. When Dez gets the ball in open field it usually takes two or three guys to get him down. BUT, he can still burn you deep, can still make the circus catch, can still make the back shoulder/end zone fade. I mean don't get me wrong, AJ is definitely up there, top three for sure. BUT, it’s the physicality and physical traits that set Bryant and Johnson apart IMO. Green is athletic, but doesn't have the size or strength of those dudes.

It's games like these that make being a cowboys fan so heartbreaking. :thumb: Yep, too many times I have watched Romo come to the podium or reporter mic after a tough loss and still be smiley, gigly, goofy Tony Romo. Never shows any kind of bummed emotion. I want somebody who truly cares, who shows us they care. Then when they do that they get blasted for it (although it looked a lot worst than it actually was).
