Wow, some schools buy jackets? Some schools don't even provide class rings for winning an All A. I guess having a strong booster organization helps.

When I grew up the transition was going from wool/leather sleeve jackets to nylon jackets. The cost savings was tremendous!

Some teachers may have called it that. I believe that is the front of the school. The rest of the fence was taken down not too long ago, but I am told it used to have a gate.

This is Nelson Auge. One of Beechwood's All Time Athletes and a member of the Beechwood Hall of Fame. I think I remember them saying he was actually a 4 sport athlete all 4 years. And was also all conference in most.

Was it the 1984 Breds that won the state football championship? I think that team was given nylon jackets for their accomplishment?

Seeing that the money generated from any program is because of the athletes participation they should receive a jacket. The fans don't pay to watch the coach. There should be a requirement maybe that a child has to play a sport 3 years. This is something that maybe title 9 has jumped into as well, but if my son helps you pack the stands on friday for 4 years, that should be worth a jacket.

Correct. I think the players went with jackets over a rings. I'll ask my brother, he was a member of that team.
