Massey Ratings have teams rated by offense and defense nationally and adjusted for strength of opponent. Consider these resumes for best team in 6A.

 

Team A: Offense 112, Defense 144

Team B: Offense 49, Defense 1161

Team C: Offense 350, Defense 456

Team D: Offense 504, Defense 356

Team E: Offense 531, Defense 1201

 

Which team is best in 6A. Remember SOS has already been factored.

HHS crushed CCH who beat Dixie who very possibly could have/should have beaten SK. T handled HHS and X rather easily and X handled SK. To me it all adds up to SK not being top 5 in 6A.

 

Would I like SK to win it? Yes! For one it would mean HHS possibly pulls ahead in total state championships and two, it would mean a really fun off season in the HS football threads. Do I think they have a snowballs chance? No.

 

Only Bg handled X. But comparative scores is not a good indication. Male handled T and could quite possible have a dogfight this week and maybe lose.
