He can't be the best TE if he doesn't play TE and isn't going to play TE in college. Did he have any catches last year when he did play TE?I like the Hedger kid from Dixie. Can't say where he rates but he is talented and is a JR.

 

Nick True had 15 catches for 218 yards and 4 TD's last year. He was 4th leading receiver on the team.

Went through some archives and saw where Belfry freshman tight end Cole Bentley went camping at Florida and Alabama. For those who've seen him, what did you think?

He has yet to play a down at TE this year. He moved to Tackle.

Not trying to pull a uk#1fan here, but Beechwood's Jonathon Stokes is the best receiving tight end I have seen this year. He has been used at tailback in Beechwood's "I" short yardage formation. He also has been split wide to try and create some mismatches against smaller DB's. Good speed, good hands, decent size (6'2", 205 with a frame to add to). Just a junior.

I am going to throw Sam Letton into this conversation. He is a sophomore but he has already shown that he is a perfect match for the this specific position.

 

He has size and frame to block as part of the line. But he also has speed and outstanding hands.

 

He has 24 catches for 423 yards and 8 TDs.

 

Its hard to rate players at this position but Letton is fits the role almost perfectly.
