Jumper_Dad
Up Down them until they puke then serve it to them for breakfast... No punishment ever seems to get through to bullies however, they'll just be more discreet next time.
75center
Wow, way to represent. Clyde, don't know that "extra conditioning" would be enough for such boorish behavior. Maybe require them to put on the play for the cast members.
Irish Cat
Perhaps the cast should have started chanting "Roll Tide" back at the players.
OlDog75
I'd say "0.0" grade for that class. Whether or not you support a certain subject in a play is no reason to disrespect people. If you had a problem with the content, just get up discreetly and leave if you want. Then talk to your instructor about it. No reason to do act like that. Did they not know what the play was about? JokersWild24
Brave students to have a GBLT play at a place where you'll see tailgates with fine china, generators running flat screens, and a Confederate flag flying on top. The whole Grove experience really blew my mind. In all honesty, while it's sad that it happened (if what's being reported occurred), but I would say that the students doing the play's cause will benefit from the media coverage this gets. Not saying it's right that what went down did, just that with football players being involved (as opposed to Regular Joe and Jill student), the media attention that this gets will start some dialogue, no way around it. JokersWild24
News report in my local paper said that a group of football players (I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it wasn't same group hurling insults) apologized to members of the theatre department after the play. Sadly, the actions of their teammates will probably lead to everyone painting the whole team with a broad brush and this is something that won't really be mentioned.
