On a more local front, Law enforcement have barry-caded off ALL boat ramps on cave Run lake . And law enforcement officials are hiding in the woods ticketing any fisherman who moves the saw horses out of the way and attempts to launch a boat . Rumor has it they are bringing in concrete barry-cades to stop these criminals from going fishing .. It should be noted these fisherman have already paid a yearly fee for a permit to fund the up keep of these same ramps they are now being told they cant use ... To anyone who says Obama isn't trying to cause as much pain as possible for political gain is such a blind partisan they should never ever be debated because they are a lost cause . politically speaking.

this closure of ramps has the ability to irrepairable harm to the morehead/rowan co economy . This time period in early/mid OCT is the primest of prime time for Musky fishing. Fisherman from various states descend upon Cave Run during Oct . filling hotel rooms and pumping money into the economy . It would be like closing the woods to deer hunting during the height of rut . And thats what our leaders are doing to what was a free country . Cause as much pain as possible for political gain.

Any proof of this or is it all rumors?

Ramps are def closed . maybe google daniel boone natl forest and boat ramps . I have a couple friends who guide on Cave run ( Lance Seasor and Justin Diller ) and I fish there a few times each fall , my info comes straight from the lake . The guides all launced their boats last thurs night before the ramps were closed and are docking them at Scott creek marina , but the general public is left out in the cold . I got a call from brother last night who had planned to go out and take our small motor home and camp for 2-3 days and fish , but that trip is cancelled now. The only part of my statement from above that I've seen challenged or questioned is how many people have been ticketed . and whether the law is actually " hiding" in the woods . I would assume they are parked away from vision back in the back of the parking lots to be able to catch people attempting to move the barry-cades . But the closure of all ramps has been in place for nearly a week .

I didn't think any state officials from any state were shutdown???

Here is what gets me upset about this entire fiasco.

 

The mall in DC with all the monuments and memorials are open air places. The fed gov't shuts down, yet they are paying more to have security make sure no one enters any of these areas, plus the majority of these places are worked by volunteers when it's open. so isn't it costing us more to have these things closed than it is to have them open?
