Scott 28 Cooper 21

I agree with you. I think the 5A team who makes it out of the Cooper/Scott/Cooner/S.Oldham district has a real shot at going to Bowling Green.

I think only Scott has a chance of beating BG.

First off Congrats Scott on a very well played game.

The officiating did not take away from how youu all played tonight.

With that said, as i posted during the game thread here is what was so bad about the officiating. The worst officiating I've seen.

2 fumbles by Scott, first one Cooper recovered, the ref called the play dead and gave bball back to Scott. 2 plays later Scott fumbled again and recovered the ball 7 yards bbehind the line of scrimmage, in the words of the ref..."It was a ffumble but I blew the whistle when he fumbled and since scott recovered I gave them the ball where I blew the whistle" Which was 1 yard from first down marker.

Final drive of the game, then it got really good. First a WR for Cooper was tackled in the endzone before the ball got to him....no PI called.

Fussinger catches his 2nd TD of the game on final drive, got both feet down 6 inches ffrom the endline, beautiful catch and toe tap for a TD, 2 Refs standing right there loook at eachother wanting the other to make the call, neither one seen it apparently and called him out of bounds. It was horrible, worst case scenerio it should of been a tie game but Cooper probably goes for 2 to win the game. All that and not even talked about the horrible Intentional grounding they didn't call, Scott's QB scramblingg for a 25 yard loss and about to get sacked and throws the ball that lands 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage , no call, instead because it was toward a oo-lineman they called ineligble reciever and only a 5 yard penalty from line of scrimmmage. Plus there was a brand new rule I never new of, they tthrew a flag on Cooper D-lineman when he made a tackle on 3rd ddown short of the first down by tackling the runner by pulling him down from the FRONT of the jersey and the ref callled a horse collar on the play....what made it even funnier is the ref even demonsttrated pulling him down from the front of his jersey lol.....first down.

Like I said, nothing against Scott, it's pretty neat to see them doing good this year, it was just about the officiating which no matter what Cooper did they weren't gonna ggive them a chance in this one which was sad.

Congrats Scott on a exciting game!!

Do you think the officials were...

A) Biased in favor of Scott?

B) Not in favor of Scott but anti-Cooper no matter who Coopers opponent was?

C) Just bad officials?

C. Just bad officials.

That is why I said it took nothing away from Scott at all. It was just really and officiating.

Now you've truly lost it.

Now you've truly lost it.

No he hasn't, he never had "it".

But every example of bad officiating you gave went against Cooper. If the officials were truly bad (which they weren't) wouldn't they be bad for both teams? The officials can't be bad for just one team. Bad officiating is indiscriminate. If you are familiar with the Scott fans you will know that they aren't afraid to call out bad officiating and I do not recall them getting on the officials at all. I know I am not going to change your mind, you are a Cooper parent therefore too emotionally involved but in almost everything you described, the opposite really happened.

Just because bad officiating went against one team doesn't mean the officials purposely were against that team. It happens.

You still don't think it was bad? What did you think of the RB who was tackled in the end zone but no TD was given? What did you think of the YD pass that they said wasn't? What did you think of the 2 Scott fumbles? Just curious.

I have a question for you.

Do you think it's possible to have bad officiating if the calls don't go against your team?

Yes if it were 1 or 2 bad calls but no way on as many calls as you mentioned. As I said, I know I will not change your mind so there is no sense in me going through every example you gave. I will just end this wishing you and the Jags the best the rest of the season and lastly, your son is a heck of a football player.

Thanks. And as I said I will be pulling for the Eagles. I think it's awesome what they are doing this year. Also will repeat that they have a great chance to do what Cooper did 2 years ago and is why this team reminds me of Cooper in 2011. They could sweep district and that would be awesome!! I also loved seeing Ray Everett out there, that kid has the heart of a lion on the field and always plays hard. He and my boy played baseball together for years. Just wish I would of seen his mom and dad last night.

When the bad calls are going in your favor, why would you complain? :idunno:

That crew was bad and Cooper just happened to fall on the wrong side of it Friday night. It was a good football officiated by a pee wee level crew. Point Blank

On a positive note, I see how Scott is generating a good squad. They have a very nice facility over there.

Congrats to Ken Mueller and all of the hard working folks at Scott.

Seems since they upgraded their facilities the ball club has "bought in" and taken themselves more seriously which has produced improved results.

Very happy for them. Enjoy the ride!!!!!!

I got to talk to my former Coach Mueller after the game. He was still beaming. "After being the team that was down 40-0 after the first quarter, you have no idea how this feels."

Really happy for them and the success they have built. Hope it continues for them.
