Covington Catholic vs. Highlands (Frosh) Predictions

Featured Replies

Is this the year? Is this the team in PH many have been waiting for. Is this the year the Colonels get that proverbial BIRD off their backs? This might be one of those "mediocre" HHS teams that the Blueboys can take advantage of. It's happened in the past but usually those "mediocre" teams have devolved and done nicely on the varsity level. Guess time will tell. Go Birds!

I would love for the Baby Birds to pull out a victory tonight. I believe this CovCath frosh team could be one of the better one's they have ever had over in PH. If the SCIT's keep it within a couple td's I would be very surprised.. GO BABY BIRDS!!!!:ylsuper:

SCIT'svs SIT'S! What side you on?

I predict dale will be on the sideline by the start of the 2nd quarter lol.

Hahaha you haven't been to many HHS frosh games have you. You are way off on when he will join the sideline. You do know it's his program right.

The man loves football and loves for all HHS levels to succeed. And if that means lending a hand, then have at it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Kids tend to respond differently to the "head" coach. I promise you whatever the outcome, the message he will tell the boys afterwards goes further than anything he will do on the sideline. Another one of his coaching secrets!

Just sayin!

IMO the baby colonels wins by 14+, from what I saw last week this is an average Bluebird frosh team, of course by the time they get to varsity the average team will perform well above average, that's just the way it goes in the Ft.

'Birds pull the upset win by 6

Birds make valiant effort but come up short. TD with 28 seconds is nullified by holding penalty. Feel sorry for the kid that held.

Wow! Had to miss this one. But hey, I will take this "moral" victory as this is considered by many, many, many people in the know to be the greatest football class ever to walk the hallowed halls of CovCath. Great job Birds!

This team has a long way to go before you can use the greatest class.

This is a very good team but it is noway a great team.

So which way was it? :idunno:

I agree. It's funny when dads/moms get on bgp and talk it up. Just go back and look in the CCH frosh thread. Good stuff! Dillistional really. Kids can take all high school to develop. And it's really how the coachs develop them. We know what Dale can do. Coach Wirth is very capable too. Lets see in another 3 years wherethese boys end up. At least it's competitive again.

So which way was it? :idunno:

I thought the same thing when I first got on. Unfortunately, it's the latter.

Let's get a "final" thread going on this one.
