Braves lead has shrunk to 8. Can't believe they have slid this much. Injuries have taken their toll though.

The Nats are really playing well. The Braves have not been scoring. Like I said earlier, I'm glad the season isn't 30 days longer. Kimbrel was a little shaky his last time out, too.

What is the most the Braves led by during the season?

Braves led by 16.5 I believe at one point. Beginning of August if I recall correctly.

Washington loses 5-2. (Nationals swirling the drain.)

Nationals up 2-0 on the Braves....Man Atlanta is tanking.

And the magic number is now two. Braves get the W.

Fredi and P Alex Wood get ejected for arguing balls and strikes. Fredi was ejected when the controversial ball call was made and Wood was ejected some time later as was being relieved when he said some naughty words to plate umpire C. B. Buckner (apologize if name is wrong). I think Fredi's ejection finally got the Braves fired up as Uggla and J. Upton hit homers shortly thereafter to put them up 3-2.

Washington is 5 down with 6 to go. Pulling for the Nats for the next 3 days.
