September 17, 201313 yr Could this be a season where a 7-9 AFC North team gets in the playoffs? I don't think so. That reminds me of the year the NFC West had a 7-9 winner a few years ago, everyone made fun of that division and how dreadful it was, now, lo and behold, it has two of the best 5 teams in the NFL within it. Funny how fast things can change. A couple of years ago the AFC North sent 3 teams to the playoffs, now someone is asking if the champ will be 7-9. Crazy. I still think the Bengals win it at 10-6.
September 17, 201313 yr Division may go 0-4 again this weekend. You're a real ray of sunshine. :jump:
September 29, 201313 yr What are we thinking now? 7-9 take it? I do think that only the division winner makes the playoffs.
September 29, 201313 yr What are we thinking now? 7-9 take it? I do think that only the division winner makes the playoffs. 7 and 9 is pushing it the rams and Seattle that one year were horrible and still made it to 7 and 9. But I do agree that now it probably will only be one team who makes it from this division. The division winner probably will be 10 and 6

September 29, 201313 yr When you are part of the worst division, and you are one of the worst teams in the division, it will be real hard to get 2 teams from AFCN into the playoffs right now.
September 29, 201313 yr Author Denver, KC, Indy, Titans, Pats are all better right now than any team in AFC North. It's a long season, but they are rolling. Looks like preseason darlings Bengals, Ravens, Steelers, and Texans are searching for answers, maybe one or two will find them, but it is really hard to tell who that moght be. Heck, the Bills and Jets look just as good at times.

Right now the only way the Bengals see the playoffs with the way they've been playing (and i'm talking about all 4 games thus far) are if they get lucky and can sweep the Ravens and hpefully beat the Browns at PBS. Even then, they still are only a 50/50 shot at most to move on after round 1. Looking at the 4 games they have not looked good in any of them. Bears game, didnn't look impressive except for Dalton, he actually looked good that game...funny hhow that works. 2nd ggame against a woeful Steelers team, looked horrible and if tthey were any good at all they should of blew the steelers out. 3rd game against GB, they got very lucky to escape with a win. Being up 14 and letting GB score 30 unnanswered points was pathetic. and 4th game, Browns....Bengals looked like a peee wee team.
