It seems to me, every state has a few elite teams that year in and year out, out preform most other teams in their state. It is so easy when you're a supporter of those teams to sit back and talk about how everyone else underachieves. Geography, attitude, population, and economics play a roll. However, Success Breeds Success, successful teams build and draw from that success. It's just the way it is. It's not as easy to become one of these elite teams as some try and make it sound.

Couldn't agree more. It isn't like this is the NFL or even College where teams can simmply go out and get who they want (most of them anyway lol) This is high School football where teams can only get those kids that are in their district. On top of that when you have multiple public schools in a very small area the talent is watered down even more. Which makes stories of success for these schools even moore entertaining when they occur every once in a blue moon.

There is a reason why Bowling Green will not schedule Trinity anymore and why Highlands won't.

Has Simon Kenton played a 6A team yet? Surely they do this week, right?

 

They love to play schools 4 and 5 classes lower. Makes them feel good until the second or third round of the playoffs when they get spanked by 50.

Isn't it amazing how it's always the other teams who refuse to play Trinity, it's never Trinity didn't ask for a game etc. according to T fans.

Do you see anyone else playing Trinity that doesn't have too? Even if it is quote a "scrimmage".... I think this works for the Rocks and the Birds quite well. They both seem to be doing ok with the end results every year.. Just sayin..:thumb:

 

I think all the school's they've played to date didn't have to play them. They did all play them in a real game though.

FWIW, I think Trinity and Highlands are the two best football programs in the state. Both programs do an excellent job developing kids and winning games. I have zero problem with either program.

 

But, don't pretend Highlands plays Trinity, because they scrimmage them. Major difference.
