Good enough for now but I think Russellville is the #2 team. Bw's play was ...well it was very unbecomming for Bw and yes we all know it was a big Ohio School but one that has one maybe 3 games in about as many years. THe young qb is struggling but that is to be expected early (5 for 20 I think) and he will get better but not a Jake Guhy at anytime this year. Then the lose their best back and already lost a LB. Bw is likely #3 and that is at best. Rville on the other hand played Ft Campbell and beat them, not as soundly as Mf did but not that far behind either.

I agree that we will have to see, but in your opinion, what moves Beechwood Down? Does a loss to a decent 6A program (Dixie) move them down?

To me, which is worth nothing other than the time you have wasted reading it, a Bw win would send the message that I am wrong about Bw. I stated my opinion based on a disapointing preformance by Bw and the loss of 2 key players for the year and my opinion that it will take atleast most of the season if not the entire year to develop the Bw QB who is not going to have as good a running back to back him up as originally thought. Also a very strong preformance by Rville impressed me.

 

If Mf gets beat by PT and Bw wins along with Rville I will not be sure what to think and certainly a Mf loss is very possible if not likely

Dixie is better than any team on Russellville's schedule except Mayfield. How Beechwood plays versus Dixie will have a big impact on how it affects their ranking. If Beechwood beats Dixie, it should end any talk of Russellville possibly being ranked above Beechwood. If Dixie beats Beechwood handily and Russellville wins, then Russelville will probably jump over Beechwood. If it is a close game and Beechwood loses, I expect Beechwood to stay at #2. It is hard to penalize a 1A team for a close loss to a 6A team that some think deserves consideration for top 10 in the state in 6A.

We may never know how good Rville is this season. I don't expect them to beat Mayfield (not impossible) and they probably will not play BW.

I have no problem with it. I do know that Pikeville is playing really, really well. I don't know anything about Russellville but by some of the comments on here they are very good so the only question I had was if Pikeville should be third but probably not.

Russellville is very well coached and has a lot of good athletes. In saying that, they aren't very deep and a few injuries like Beechwood has recently sustained, would hurt them moreso than it does the Tigers. Mayfield and Beechwood are most likely the deepest teams in 1a and play a lot of kids quality minutes, although both still have some that go both ways. They just have more quality role players that can spell some of these guys without a big drop off in talent. I'm not, by any means, going to claim that Russellville's schedule is all that great, but, they do still play Mayfield and South Warren, 2 very good teams and the Ft Campbell team is still a solid win. I'd also say before the season's all's said and done, that the Trigg Co win will look better and better. They aren't a bad team at all. They also play a decent F.Simpson team later in the year, so, they'll be tested plenty by the time the playoffs roll around.
