Another battle of Boone Co.

Rebels coming off big loss.

Jags coming off big win.

Who wins and why?

The better question is what team on Boone's schedule can be beaten?

It's not Cooper.

Cooper will win this one. Borchers will rein the Jags in, not run the score up. I hope to see some of the JV in the second half though.

Cooper must use this game to learn how to protect the ball. 6 TO's last game was way too many.

They did show when their offense is running on all cylinders they are hard to stop. Ludwig had the best game he's had at QB and threw on target all night. If Bricking can keep his running like last week they are a really good offense. Their defense is stepping up like you would expect a Borchers coached team to do.

Need some work on special teams but I think they will work it out.

Cooper by 14.

Good question. Their only shot at winning this year may be Campbell County.

I was very impressed with Coopers 2nd half performance against NCC on friday night. Coach Borchers will have his team ready against the Rebels..Cooper 35 Boone Cty 12

Cooper 28-7.

Cooper 28-7.

I will be VERY disappointed if the Rebels score on Cooper....unless it is the JV squad that gives up the points. Frankly, without the total special teams collapse against Ryle and two horrible calls against NCC.....well, the Jags D just doesn't give up TD's that easily.

........

I don't mean to be flippant, but at this point, any prediction thread with Boone County involved just seems unneccessary.

The opponent wins and the game isn't likely to be close. Same goes here.

Cooper by couple scores in this one.

On one hand I agree but on the other hand this may be Boone's best chance to get a win.

Unless Boone County scraps the platooning I don't see them winning many games. Their new coach needs to realize he is not in Bowling Green and he is the new coach in the area. Even that would only make the score close. The tweaks Borchers made on Offense and Defense made a big difference. Moving Fuss to Dog helped stop the run. Inserting a fullback and/or TE helped open up the running game. As mentioned before the season started it would take a couple weeks for Cooper to get things ironed out. Week by Week Cooper will continue to improve.

I disagree 1000% on Boone abandoning the two platoon system.

I am speculating here but based on what I know of Coach Griff he realizes where he is at and he knows Rome wasn't built in a day.

I agree with you 100%. As I said in a previous thread, the group that I feel sorry for are the seniors that are having to endure two horrible upperclass years to help build the foundation for future Rebel squads.

I find it hard to believe Boone is as bad as everyone is saying. I hope Cooper wins easily. I wouldn't be surprised if this rivalry game is close.
