August 24, 201313 yr He's going to do great. Just the discipline he's shown by resisting my BBQ temptations in recent months tells me all I need to know on that account.
August 24, 201313 yr Where can I get info on finish locations and transition points, etc? Start is at Tumbleweed. Transition area is the great lawn. Finish line is at 4th Street Live. Maybe the best finish line of all the IM events. Along the bike many spectators go to LaGrange but I go out a little further. The marathon you have a great shot of the runners as they go up and back twice on the Southern Parkway by campus. As a IMer, the marathon support you receive is critical. Gets lonesome out there with miles of soul searching. But it is all worth it once you hear, "You're an Ironman.".
