It may not be a walk in the park, but that wasn't what I was saying. I was asking, who will beat them. There's not a team on the schedule other than the two I named that I would pick to beat Central at this point. That's not saying they won't get pressed, and that's not saying that my mind can't be changed extremely quickly this Friday. But as it sits here on Wednesday afternoon, I think they're going to go 8-2, losing to two teams that I don't think would merit them dropping much if at all in the rankings.

I think Warren Central might be better than last year, at least at the end of the season. With Porter Bunton at QB, they will be much tougher to contain offensely. You don't have to worry about too many down years at Warren Central.

 

You guys would certainly know better than I. I was just going by graduations and what was told to me from some at their scrimmage. I am far from in the know in 5A

I guess we have to wait and see how it all plays out. Graves will be tuff team again I agree on that.

How low do you think they should go? As important, who's going to beat them outside of BG and Highlands?

 

The line play will dictate where Central ends up. Don't worry about the skill position losses, that Central can almost always plug and play. They'll be different than last year in terms of offensive focus, but that's not necessarily worse. The O-Line is where they will struggle to maintain the standards of the last two years.

 

I will be surprised if WC can maintain that high a rank, I don't see them being nearly as good as last year

Yeah, I acknowledged it and gave you credit in the recap thread. But thanks for the call out anyway.

I said before the season in Ram's thread that I felt like Pulaski County was a top 10 team in 5A. Last night did nothing to change my mind.
