Oh boy ... here we go. This thread will be a uk#1fan 15 poster.

Honestly though, he has reason to question this one. I think SK should be at #3. Move Dixie and New Cath up a couple notches and that would be where I stand right now in N. Ky.

Agree VOR! Dixie, SK and I think so should Scott, should be moved up.

You are right on Scott. I missed that one. They should be ranked higher.

Scott should be ranked. However, they have all their history they have to overcome in terms of being recognized. Until they get some wins, most won't believe in them.

And rightfully so. They can change that really fast. A lot of people are expecting them to be good so the first time they prove it in a real game, people are ready to believe in them.

Might be tough to do with a soft schedule.

I am a big believer in scheduling tough, but for Scott, I think that schedule works. But you are right ... there will likely still be doubts even as they win those early games. For the most part, the early games are challenging enough but should be winnable games. If they enter game 6 versus Cooper with more than one loss, that will be a bad sign for them IMO.

I think SK should be higher. We will find out in a few weeks when they play Conner.

Or perhaps Marksberry backlash?

Or perhaps Marksberry backlash?

Could be; however, if they are as good as I (and others) think they could be, you really are only playing into their hands.

Truth be told, SK should probably be 2nd, certainly no worse than 3rd, and perhaps placing high expectations on them could have proven to be tougher to deal with. Think Conner in hoops a couple of years ago when they were pre-season #1 by the coaches and had an average to subpar year. Sometimes there are programs that find it tougher to live up to the expectations placed on them by others.

I think this poll will only serve to galvanize Simon Kenton, in as much as bulletin board material and "us vs the World" stuff works. To be clear, I think things like that, if used correctly by coaches, can have an impact.

Beechwood over SK yea right and Conner not a chance. Conner will get knocked down by SK in a few weeks. :D

SK is always ranked low in the preseason polls. They will win their district and go 10-0 and have last laugh!
