Can't remember a season that's ever been this wide-open before....Who ya got?

Andrew McCutchen.

I agree just because nobody else is really stepping up IMO.

Joey Votto

I know you're saying that as a joke, and I didn't include him on the list, but I actually think if the Reds make the postseason, he's got a better chance than most people think.

In a year when no one is setting themselves apart, his insane OBP and WAR numbers can go a long way.

Cabrerra. He's so freakin' good he should win both leagues.

Reds making postseason has nothing to do with Votto winning the MVP.

I don't think he'll win but people should keep an eye on Freddie Freeman. Having a very good year so far.

Bovada, a sports betting website, shows only 4 players in contention for NL MVP at this point. Andrew McCutchen is the favorite at 5/7 odds, 2) Joey Votto at 3/2, 3) Paul Goldschmidt at 5/1, and 4) Carlos Gomez at 15/1.

Molina but with being on DL will hurt

If the Pirates make the playoffs, which they probably will, McCutchen. Yade if they don't make the playoffs. Cargo is someone who could also have a chance at it.

Actually making the postseason has quite a bit to do with winning MVP. It's rare that the winner ever comes from a team that doesn't make it.

He just got put on the DL so that is going to hurt him.

Interestingly enough, McCutchen was scratched today with a shoulder issue as well. Haven't heard anything about the seriousness of it though.

While I don't like seeing anyone get hurt, I wouldn't mind seeing McCutchen miss a couple weeks....
