Even Dusty isn't that stupid, I hope. Possibly straight steal and Robinson wanted to give Votto a chance, got a poor jump as a result. I'm more peeved that Votto never offered. His strikeouts, while they may be similar to years past, seem higher than usual.

August 7, 201313 yr As "down" of a year as Joey is having, and I've been a harsh critic, he's still leading the league in OBP, 4th in BA, leading the league in BB, 2nd in Runs Scored, 4th in Total Bases, 2nd in OPS, 5th in WAR, and 3rd in Hits....Heck the guy may even win the batting title. The issue isn't necessarily what he's doing on the field, it's more a matter of how much money a financially strapped franchise has tied up in him.

I can agree with parts of this, its not so much about his stats, but what he does that drives you nuts. They way hey plays, 2 strikes on you and no swing, swings at pitches hes not even looking at, stuff like that.
