Lone Survivor...Live to tell the story(Spoilers)

Featured Replies

Read the book a few years ago...

The trailer looks to be inline with the book which was very good.

Just saw the trailer last night. Looks pretty good.

Just saw this movie tonight...theater was eerily quiet at the end and as everyone was exiting to the lobby.

Good movie, very true to the book as best I can remember the book.

Lots of blood and language so might want to consider that if you plan on taking the kids.

The real Marcus Luttrell has a part (he's in several scenes) in the movie as another unnamed SEAL. He survived in real life but dies in the movie.

In the movie I'm guessing he dies as the other seal that was part of the evacuation team? I'm not considering that to be a spoiler because if you've read anything about the events that's common knowledge. Just trying to clarify that's what you meant?

Tried to go tonight but it was sold out. Gonna try again soon though.

Saw it last night and it was rather indescripable to me , words cant capture the intensity of this movie . My stomach cramped and muscles were tense after watching it . Heart wrenching , a great film . This generation's " Saving Private Ryan" Our cinema was nearly sold out , but the place was drop dead silent the entire length of the movie , but did receive a round of applause at the end . There were lots of service men in attendance , some in fatigues , others in their off duty tee shirts or wearing a hat with their branch on it . Great salute to our men and women who serve . Truly a " cant miss " film . Wonder if any proceeds of the profits ( I'm thinking this is going to epic) go to WWP or similiar organizations ?

No that wasn't meant to be a spoiler, the spoilers title was from the original post that was posted in August. The video gives some away if you don't know the story going into the movie.

I think most at our theater were in stunned silence as everyone just got up and left with very few words being said. I had read the book and had a good idea of what was coming and when it was coming but it still had me by the pit of my stomach all night.

I watched it today

I cried

I was never prouder than today to have served this country in the military.

worthy of a bump . go see this movie .

I think I may go see this one by myself tomorrow or Tuesday. Looking forward to this one.

Alright, I have a little trivia contest for you all. 3 questions, and you need to tell me how it is tied in to this movie.

1. Who is "A" in the picture?

2. How is the answer to #1 related to "Lone Survivor?"

3. Who is "B" in the picture?

Went and watched the movie tonight it was excellent just like I'd expected. Very intense.
