Going to a concert there Tuesday night... I've never been, so I wanted to get some general info. Tips on getting there, parking, leaving, places to eat around there, etc. Any info will be much appreciated!!

The easiest way to get in and out quickly is to take the New Richmond exit, it's the 2nd exit once you cross into Ohio going 275 E. Go right off the exit and you'll drive about a mile, maybe a little more. On your right, across from what used to be RiverDowns will be a large field where they'll allow you to park and tailgate for free. It's about 1/2 - 3/4 a mile walk to Riverbend, but it makes exiting a lot easier than parking in Coney. Once the show is over, go LEFT out of the parking lot, and catch 275 that way. You'll save hours of time by not sitting in Coney or Kellogg Ave. traffic.

From my experience, here's some observations I'll share:

 

I'm not going to dissuade you from using the New Richmond exit, but I haven't used it in years. Reason being, I always got lost. Signage is likely way better now.

 

Not sure who is playing Tuesday, but if it's not a really large crowd, you should be okay parking at Coney. It can get pretty bottle necked if it's a big crowd though.

 

When parking on Coney property, I always try to park as close to Kellogg as possible. The deeper into the lot you get, the longer the wait to get out.

 

I've parked at Lebo's and had a brew before the show and then walked to Riverbend from there. You avoid all traffic by doing so, guessing the walk is half a mile tops. That's my go to move for a crowded show.

 

As far as food, not much to choose from near Riverbend. the forementioned Lebo's is supposed to have good burgers, but the place is a bit too "rustic" for me to eat there. Other than that, you are either looking at going up to 5 mile road in Ohio, down to the Newport river area, or eating someplace near NKU to have many options. Personally, I'd avoid the Newport area because of construction on 471, and I'd avoid going up to 5 mile and trying to back track because of traffic. I'd eat near NKU, or even a couple exits sooner. Let me know what you're thinking food wise, and I can give you more specific ideas.

Where is this Lebo's that you talk about? Do they allow people to park there for a concert?

There are plenty of places to eat. If you get off the Wider Exit, there is Longnecks (Sportsbar, wings, burgers, etc.); Dairy Queen Fast Food, Skyline Chili are three I can think of. I would take the 2nd Exit and park as UKMustang says. It isn't that diffcult. You will be there in plenty of time if you leave L'ville by 1:00. Enjoy Lil' Wayne.

Plenty to choose from. As others have mentioned, the Wilder exit has a few options. The NKU exit has Applebees, Barlycorn's, Toppers Pizza, Smashburger, Jimmy John's, Chipotle, as well as a variety of fast food options just off the exit.

 

Taylor Mill Road has a few options, mostly fast food, right off the exit.

 

Exit prior, has a BDubs, and several other options including a mexican place, a Penn Station, and several fast food places.

 

Turkeyfoot exit has a Applebees and Friday's as well as easy access to the Crestview Town Center which has multiple choices ranging from a steak to mexican to a 5 guys.

 

On your route, you'll be able to eat pretty much anything you want from the 71/75 merge without going out of you way.

I had to go down that way last night for a softball game at River City and they had the Maroon 5/Kelly Clarkson show taking place. Traffic was dead stopped getting off the Kellogg exit so I went up to New Richmond and cut back down to Kellogg. Very little traffic that way and I was able to head all the way back in from of Riverbend and get to River City in the time I would have moved two car lengths waiting to get off at Kellogg.
