Guns allowed on College Campuses in North Carolina

Featured Replies

I don't like the idea of a 18-22 year old having access to a gun on a college campus. I would however understand allowing the staff to be armed while on the University if they choose to do so. This law does nothing IMO to cut down in anyway shootings on a college campus, I could actually see it increasing the number of shootings (not mass but single shootings) on college campuses.

On a side note; I love how Reps love their guns and are quick to shoot to kill, but consider themselves hardcore Christians.

What?! So because I would pull my gun and take out someone who was killing/had killed people in a crime, rampage, mass shooting, etc. that makes me some sort of gun toting crazy Christian? Come on BBJ, I expect more from you than that. Eliminate the immediate threat, to that there is no question, I'm not gonna recite John 3:16 and try to calmly talk about Jesus to someone who's blowing people away while I stand there. Good gosh.

No Ezekiel 25-17?

I certainly understand the position that these mass murders have occurred in gun-free zones. Allowing guns won't prevent someone to possessed to commit such a heinous act, but it may reduce the number of victims.

With that said, I am not comfortable with allowing more guns on campus. Too many people abuse guns and part of me thinks that we will see in increase in the amount of gun-related violence by allowing them on campus.

In my mind, it's a very difficult situation without an easy resolution.
