November 4, 201312 yr Author I think he is. I've never found myself as frustrated with him in the comic book than I have in the show. I just think his rationale in dealing with Carol was beyond unfair and it stunk of hypocrisy. While I do find it slightly hypocritical I do think they were different situations. Carl killed someone, albeit a young boy, during a time if war with the Governor. I know Herschel was telling Carl to just let him go and he just shot him but who knows. I can't say that I wouldn't have shot him. It was war and it's you or them. I think Carol took it too far with how she killed those two people. Stabbing in the head is one thing but then to burn them, a little excessive. Maybe she was doing it to stop the illness but I just think she was wrong in the whole thing. It'll definitely be interesting to see how this plays out next week.
November 4, 201312 yr Good episode last night; like others have said I don't think we're done hearing from Carol. My first thought when Rick sent her away was how Daryl would react.

Sure Carl has been forced to "grow up" a lot faster than most kids normally would be...but, on the other hand, he is still just a kid. Carol, of course, is grown adult. If Rick would have said, "Carol, you need to leave because Tyreese will kill you" then I would have been fine with it. His "I'm doing this for my family" rationale was weak. Just my thoughts.

I can see how some might take it that way. On one hand, Carol is probably one of THE best people to have around your family. She can do just about everything (didn't somebody compare her as the Swiss Army Knife of the group?) But, on the other hand, I think Rick sees this other side of her that has become disconnected from her emotions. And yes, having too much emotion might make you become irrational in your decision-making...but, she was so quick to judge the situation with Karen and David, and showed no remorse in doing it. I mean, do you really want someone around who's willing to kill the living just because of a cough? (And I know I may have oversimplified it, but I think that's the road Rick sees her heading down.)

November 5, 201312 yr Tyreese would have killed Carol and Rick wouldn't have stopped him. IMO he saved Carol. Definition of Ballistic: Tyrese when the medicine cures the dreaded cough. Run Carol, Run!
