June 30, 201313 yr My uncle is in his early 80's and has lived in Ft. Thomas his whole life. He uses the phrase, "I seen" almost exclusively. He also uses the phrase "I says" instead of "I said" in recalling prior conversations. It drives me just a little nuts...good thing I like him so much.
June 30, 201313 yr My kids have always called me the grammar nazi. I can't help it. "I seen" "We was" and "It don't" are at the top of the list for things I hate to hear.
June 30, 201313 yr We was at the Greek Festival today. It don't get any better than those crazy good desserts. I seen Mr. Kambelos that runs the little diner on Market Street here in Maysville; we was defiantly happy to run into him. I shutter at the thought of that festival ever deciding to quit.
