Samsung Galaxy S3

 

1) It has software updates that prevent it from ever going non-supported - guaranteed. iPhones have software updates, but will not guarantee that they'll continue to support outdated models.

2) There are more free Android apps than iOS apps. Android apps are about 60-70% free and 30-40% paid, where iOS apps are about 40% free and 60% paid. There are also more Android apps available than there are iOS apps.

3) The Galaxy S3 is capable of using removable memory cards. Nothing by Apple is.

4) The Galaxy S3 has a bigger screen.

5) The Galaxy S3 has voice command, text dictation, and a Siri-like command mode.

6) The Galaxy S3 has a removable/replacable battery if it ever goes bad, unlike the iPhone 4S with its built-in battery. Also has a MUCH more powerful battery than the iPhone 4S - to the tune of 50% more powerful.

7) The Galaxy S3 has a faster download time than the iPhone 4S (21mb/s versus 14 mb/s).

8) The Galaxy S3 is Flash compatible, whereas Apple refuses to make Flash compatible products.

2. Apps, schmapps...if Apps is your thing get an iPad or a tablet. 75% of all apps(free or not) are garbage and barring something crazy you can find a free app that will do the same thing a paid app will do. Most times paid apps just don't have ads.

 

3. Why are removable memory cards important? Oh yeah, so you can put more apps on your phone.

 

4. If the screen is your thing get an iPad or a tablet. Is a 4" screen really that big of a difference from a 5" screen? Both are in HD and both are at least 30" smaller than your tv. If an iPhone screen is too small then you need bifocals.

6. False. I just changed the battery in my 4S. The difference may be that it is easier to remove the battery but I changed my iPhone battery in less than 5 minutes thanks to YouTube. It can be changed.

 

7. No argument there but I had never had an issue downloading anything on my phone nor have I felt like it was too slow.

 

8. False. Kind of. You can download Flash Player apps onto your iPhone but this is my only gripe with the iPhone. I wish it came Flash compatible out of the box.

To date the 4S has been the best phone I have ever owned. No issues at all. Almost 2 years old and still going strong. It is recent enough to still be able to enjoy all of the latest Apple software updates and I am 100% certain that I haven't utilized this phone properly. Yeah, the screen is smaller than the Galaxy and you can't answer emails and watch YouTube videos at the same time(ADD alert) but I have never had a more user friendly phone. Folks that have Galaxies love their phones and iPhone folks are pretty loyal as well. Good luck with your choice. At least you know you can't go wrong.

Where are you finding #2 and don't forget that there are also plenty of droid apps that aren't policed and are fraudulent.
