June 20, 201313 yr I'd go Ortiz at DH in the AL, but other than that, can't complan.....No way should Votto start over Goldschmidt.
June 20, 201313 yr Author I'd go Ortiz at DH in the AL, but other than that, can't complan.....No way should Votto start over Goldschmidt. I could make the argument for Ortiz. Thought hard about it.

June 21, 201313 yr I'd go Ortiz at DH in the AL, but other than that, can't complan.....No way should Votto start over Goldschmidt. I would take Craig right now over Voto so far.
June 21, 201313 yr I would take Craig right now over Voto so far. Based on what? Let's compare the #'s: Allen Craig: .310 avg, .351 OBP, 6 HR, 55 RBI in 70 games..... (.800 OPS) Joey Votto: .324 avg, .438 OBP, 12 HR, 35 RBI in 74 games.... (.945 OPS) Craig has driven in 20 more RBI's (which is a huge difference), but Votto is significantly outperforming Craig in virtually every other offensive category.

June 21, 201313 yr The fact that he's a Cardinals fan and has a definite bias? :idunno: It brings up a legitimate question: Do Cardinal fans legitimately fear Jay Bruce at the plate now more than the do Votto? Maybe I'll start that thread...
June 21, 201313 yr It brings up a legitimate question: Do Cardinal fans legitimately fear Jay Bruce at the plate now more than the do Votto? Maybe I'll start that thread... Of course not, because Votto has proven to be a much better hitter over the course of his career. Apples & anchovies...
