June 12, 201313 yr Seems like its this way anytime the Spurs make it to the Finals. I think Miami's game 2 win was the first Finals game the Spurs have lost in the Duncan/Pop era. The Duncan/Pop era is the only time the Spurs have made the finals. The Cleveland series in 2007 was the only they swept. Lost 1 to the Knicks in 99, 2 to the Nets in 03, 3 to the Pistons in 05. I was thinking maybe it was the first Game 2 they lost, but they lost that to the Nets.

I was almost positive they said that they were basically perfect in the finals, but oh well its hard to say....

Granted he does not go off like that generally, but the guy has provided a huge spark for sometime and I have contended that he is one of the top shooters in the NBA since his arrival. Most just do not know about him because of where he plays. But this did not come out of left field like some believe. Also saw earlier this is LeBron's lowest three game output, regular of post-season, since the Mavericks debacle.

They need Parker to finish out the Heat. When they ramp it up defensively they can cause havoc to the pick and roll which the Spurs utilize all the time.

June 12, 201313 yr No way they win the series without Parker. I don't buy that at all. In the reign of 3's people may have forgotten exactly how valuable Parker is, as well as how tough of a matchup he is for the Heat.
June 12, 201313 yr I think you are wrong. I am, but that's not surprising. I could have swore they were talking about something like that during the broadcast the other night I just can't remember what. It was something about SA and the Finals though and they mentioned sweep.
