I sure hope the "driving while black" is not the whole story. I agree. Surprise is home to a large population of retirees, so the police should be well acquainted with seniors who drive erratically. Could be a case of this guy being stopped because he did NOT take his daily meds.
June 11, 201313 yr Perhaps, but after blowing a 0.000 how in the world could they still charge him? I hope he wins his case. Perhaps they thought he was on something other than alcohol. However based on what I read they had a "drug recognition expert" perform tests and that person concluded he was not under the influence of anything. Problem is I think that those tests are typically done after an arrest is made. Sounds like they screwed up here.

In short because his driving may have been very bad and he failed several field sobriety tests. Granted these tests are not an exact science but they get you in the ballpark.
June 11, 201313 yr I saw an update today that the charge has been dismissed. He has retained a lawyer and is suing for $500,000. I hope he wins.
