Ryle vs Dixie (9th region championship) predictions?

Featured Replies

With Ryle's hot hitting in Mason Forbes, Tyler Mason, Lonnemann, Jackson Brennan, Thomas Baumann, etc. going against Dixie and their Cinderella run its up in the air who'll win. Sooooo who do you all got in this one? Who do you think will pitch for both sides?

The fans will, as it will be a great game, that is if they act like adults and root/cheers on both teams and congratulate the winners and pat the back of the losers and tell them that they had a great season.

Please come to the game and cheer on both of these teams as they deserve your support and attendance but please, please act like adults and not like jerks!

From my recollection Dixie Height's Sophomore Kerns got the start in the last game between these two teams and if memory serves the game was pretty close until the last inning when Ryle's bats came to life. I'm not sure about the depth of Dixie's pitching but wouldn't be surprised if Kerns is called upon again in this games. I would suspect Ryle's Senior Tyler Mason will probably get the start and will be relieved by Junior Ethan Brennan if need be. If Ryle continues to put the ball in play as they have in the Regional Tourney so far then I see them coming away with the win.

Ryle wins imo... They hit all the way through the lineup..

If Dixie does pull the upset, they will have more than earned it going up against the 3 toughest opponents (imo) in the tournament in NCC, Beechwood and Ryle.

My guess is we'll see Ethan Jackson on the bump for Ryle. I believe Hoard is eligible to relieve as well.

Win or lose tonight, you got to hand it to the Dixie players. They have come quite a ways since getting run-ruled by Conner & Ryle and starting the season @ 0-3!:ylsuper:

Hoard is not eligible to throw. He pitched essentially 7 innings on Monday (one pitch counts as a whole inning) and therefore requires 3 days of rest (Tuesday, yesterday and today) before he is able to pitch again.

I was guessing Tyler mason would start, he's solid when he's on. You also have Ethan Brennan, Mitch See, Tanner Pulice can pitch again, Mac Welsh, Tyler Lonnemann, etc.

Correct.

I meant Ethan Brennan, not Jackson. Not sure where the heck I came up with that one. And I do think he'll get the nod.

I forgot he came out to start the 7th. We were talking about how not bringing him in that inning would preserve him for today and that sort of stuck in my mind. Ryle still will have plenty of pitching available though. See can be very, very effective when he's on.

I don't think it will be close. Dixie doesn't have the offense needed to hang with Ryle and I don't know if they have a pitcher able to go tonight that can slow Ryle down.

I wold guess Ryle will pitch Mason and See tonight and both are very good pitchers.

Remember the last game these two teams played? A 3-2 final that wasn't decided until the 7th. I wouldn't count Dixie out.

I am having a hard time seeing Dixie getting the win. Ryle was the favorite coming in IMO and they have played like it. Dixie needs to keep it close and hope to be in position for another fantastic finish. If Ryle gets on the board early, they could pull away for an easy win - by easy I mean 4 runs or more.
