I have heard that Wilson is too green. That Wood will fill that role this year and Wilson will take over the following year.

 

May be right but I would consider playing for the future and not having to endure three different QB's in three years. Let Wilson take his lumps now which will only make him that much more prepared as a Junior and Senior. Just a thought.

I think CC has as good a chance as any. Yes they graduated 18 but only 4 offensive and 4 defensive players that contributed on a consistent basis. Durham is a big hole to fill but they have a QB that is going to help them out in Avery Wood. They graduated their left tackle, but they have a new fella that moved to the area from Cincinnati that is 6'5" and 285 lbs of pure muscle. Big Mar moves mountains. I think until they get beat they are the team to beat.

He played mainly jv but I can guarantee that big Mar weighs more than 225. Shemar Wise is his name and came from Woodward. He's the kid in the basketball thread that picked up the water cooler to get a drink. Never seen him play football but the kid is as big as an ox and as strong as one too. Really good and polite kid.

That's him. I knew I'd seen him; now I remember it was JV. I saw more than one kid bounce right off him and he doesn't budge! Can't wait to see what he can do.

I would love to get to the new stadium but I think it might be a hard ticket to get at first, especially if Camels do well.

I'm assuming you have never been to the beer garden at an NCC game played at Newport?

Shemar is kind and polite but a beast on the court and field. He is legitimate. He moved here last year right after football started. He was living in a not so good area and his mom saw that he needed to move or become a statistic. He is now living with family in CC. He is loving the country life and enjoying the people he goes to school with.

At least the Camels are playing them! I say bravo to Coach Lickert for having the kahunas to put the Birds on the schedule. He's trying to take this program to the next level and I have faith that he will get them there.

Is it "kahunas" or is it lickert doing dale a favor. I'm guessing dale promised not to run the score up, but you know he won't be able to resist.

That is NewCath and Newport's fault. They need to number parking spots there and sell the spots for home games like colleges and the Bengals do. They are missing out on another source of income.

He's trying to take the program to the next level, what's wrong with that? You think he's going to duck them in fear of getting blown out? If your 2A school is so good and "consistently" beats our 6A school, then step up to the plate and play HHS. If half of our kids turn their pads in at halftime my guess is ALL your kids would turn theirs in at halftime.
