So if a 10 year old consents to an 18 year old you'd be cool with that?

 

If you knew 100% that the 10 year old wasn't harmed in any way could you explain why it was wrong?

 

There is not one good thing that comes from having sex, at age 14....other than maybe an orgasm...It is for sure harmful 90% of the time in some way.

 

Prove it. Provide empirical evidence. Why is 14 the age of consent in Germany, Portugal, Italy and Austria? Do they condone this 90% harm?

A sliding scale is just as arbitrary as the current system. So it's OK for your 14 year old daughter to have sex with a 16 year old but not a 17 year old? What difference does it make? People are all individuals, each case is unique.

Probably because they couldn't call the police prior to turning 18. I highly doubt the parents sat silent the entire time before that.

I know 17 year olds who had sex with 14 year olds and had relationships with them. When I say I am open to sliding scales it clears them from the law for me. As I said earlier. If we don't want seniors and freshmen dating then put them in separate buildings. It's going to happen.

 

Same reason thinking of my mother or my sister being sexually fulfilled disturbs me. It just does. :lol:
