I figured that was coming. That is a must for me.

Microsoft has really stepped up after making mistakes and seem to really want this to be a great console.

 

Changed policies, add headset, maybe more.

 

Really listening to fans of console.

I would view it as more of a positive if they had shown more forethought and included these things beforehand, but you do have to credit them for not being stubborn and sticking to their guns, recognizing and correcting mistakes before launch.

I agree. These are things that should have never been omitted but having said that they could have easily left them out anyway. For that I commend them.

I would expect a release date to be announced at Gamescom.

Can't decide if I'm going to pre-order one yet. May just wait til January, depends on how things go with work over the next few weeks. If I have to go some where for training for 16 weeks I don't see myself getting one until the first part of next year.

Are those supposed to be wireless?

^ Not sure. I'm sure TB is still working on different models though.

Kinect can be unplugged and Xbox One will still function.

 

 

This makes it seem as if Microsoft will release a version without kinect.

Xbox will reveal a "unique exclusive" as well as some "interesting features" during Gamescom next week.

 

 

Xbox One can regulate power to prevent overheating. This can happen automatically, but it's not clear whether it self-regulates during gameplay or during other apps.

 

 

NFL Sunday Ticket will not be available to PS3 or PS4 users this year, likely as a result of the deal that the NFL struck with Microsoft earlier in the year. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

 

 

Xbox One controllers will work with PC gaming later this year.

Just thinking about the release date Here are the dates I think are most likely.

 

 

Most likely - Monday November 4th, Tuesday November 5th.

 

Still probable - Monday November 11th, Tuesday November 12th.

 

 

Don't really see it launching outside those dates.

Ok, so some details have leaked on the eve of the Gamescom event in Germany.

 

 

 

Microsoft allowed OXM to do an unboxing and show off the Xbox One, BUT they did not allow them to reveal spec info. Could it be because Microsoft hasn't finished tinkering, or could it be because Microsoft has a spec surprise to reveal tomorrow?

Reveal that Xbox has an agreement with EA to release a FREE game with every Xbox One console. Right now the articles say that Europe will receive FIFA14 for free with every console. Details are still unknown and it's likely that the US consoles will also get a game, unknown whether or not it'll be FIFA14 though.
