So after reading this I have a few thoughts and what not.

1. This does not bother me at all as a gamer. I'm always connected only and rarely if ever have I played a game while not being online. When it says "24 hours" I wonder if it means in terms of gaming hours or real time hours. Probably the latter.

2. There seems to be at least one rumor shot down and that is the used game fee by Microsoft. Seems as if Microsoft is leaving it up to developers to decide how they want to handle used games. Good idea.

3. Even though the Xbox One is not an "always online" system it essentially is. Simply being if you don't have internet you cannot buy an Xbox One, or so it seems. With that being said basically everyone needs Xbox Live now, so I wonder if they will lower the price since it's almost a requirement now.

A couple more thoughts.

1. Microsoft and Xbox has always been different, Xbox required a broadband connection from day 1. So that is not a big deal to me.

2. I would almost bet that even though Microsoft was the first to reveal the used game info, I would almost guarantee that PS4 has something similar, if not identical. Probably gonna be more of a publisher thing.

3. Microsoft is essentially saying if you don't have internet you can't have this.....Which is fine because it's like many other products in the world so not sure why the big fuss over this.

Alright so here is some other news.

1. NBA 2K14 will re released the first week of October as usual but 2K games say that this game will be available immediately for next-gen consoles including the Xbox One. Basically said it would be a launch title.

When people say "launch titles" that means they are available day 1 of console release.

So one would assume that the new Xbox would be released around the first week of October.

2. Now FIFA 14 is available for preorder on a lot of sites including amazon and on different sites the sited release date is September 27th, 2013. Now obviously this is a launch title or will be released for purchase before the console even makes it out on the market (doubtful that happens).

So end game is that the Xbox One will likely be released last week of September or first week of October.......That is an early release but a good idea IMO. This allows gamers to get it early but will limit the holiday blow of shortages.

With a lot of people getting them early Microsoft can see sales and prepare for November and December sales and will likely be able to manage on hands better.

I could get shunned here. I am an avid Xbox guy. You all know this, but right now as the two systems stands I might be pulling the trigger on a PS4. I need more from both systems but as of right now I just don't see it from the X1 to make me fall in love with it. Although keep in mind I did just drop almost a grand one a self-built desktop so ya never know I could go both way.

A couple more thoughts.

Lets be honest here, who would even think about buying a next gen console without an internet connection anyways? When I moved 2 years ago I was without wifi for 3 days. Impossible to live. Anyone who would put that as a negative against the X1 is just crazy.

I know but some have. I'm just saying its like a tip of the line thing that you have to have Internet for.

Re: #2...

Aren't developers the ones who hate the used game market? I'd say that means no used games unless you pay a price like everyone thought originally.

Often times yes but I think they know that people buy used games. If they price fees too high then they won't sell games period.

Alright so we have some more news to share.

- All Xbox One: Day One Edition consoles will come with a limited edition console and controller, plus 12 months of xbox live, and a plug a play charger. All for $499. No extra charge.

- Next bit of news involves playing games offline. It's being reported that Microsoft will change the policy before launch and consumers will be able to play games offline if they have the disc. Playing online you don't have to have the physical disc but to play online you have to have the disc. (Good idea to me)

Also of note, in Microsoft's FAQ regarding the Xbox One it does not that it's not final and that things could change because they are always looking to become better (or something to that effect).

12 months of Xbox Live for free huh, they must be reading my posts...... Figured that'd be the case.

Alright so here's an update for the Xbox One over the last week or so.

- Microsoft reverses DRM policies and thus Xbox One users can play games offline for an unlimited amount of time.

- Consumers can use, trade, sell, borrow, etc. games exactly the way they do right now on the Xbox 360

- As a result the feature of not having to use a physical disc to play your game has been removed for the time being.

- Family Sharing has also been suspended but will likely be added in an update.

- Xbox One will not come bundled with a headset

- Xbox 360 headsets will work with Xbox One (likely through an adapter through Microsoft)

- Microsoft has stopped charging developers for title updates (move was originally put in place to stop developers from putting out unfinished games)

- Microsoft has partnered with Unity Studios which works with a ton of indie developers on games. A big move for Microsoft.

So over the past week Microsoft has came a big way in terms of setting up a gamer friendly system. Obviously there is still a lot of time until the system comes out so a lot more is to be announced but these are big steps, for whatever reason they were taken.

A step toward the Xbox One. Just got my World of Tanks beta key today. Love it so far.

How did you get that?

How did you get that?

Applied for it about 2 weeks ago. Here is the link https://wt360e.com/join_obt/new/

Not a lot of people are playing. About 200 people, so I wouldn't be surprised if they got out a lot more beta keys. I didnt get my key right away either. I just got it today, but they just released it today.
