May 21, 201313 yr Author Gotcha. I'd looked it up, but hadn't seen the distinction. Doesn't matter, I didn't buy that one at launch either. Maybe I bought it at $350. It's been long enough I can't recall. All I know is that when you tell your wife you don't want to spend $600 on a vacation this year, it's probably not in your best interest to spend $400-$500 on a video game system. Probably. I'm selling my xbox 360 probably about a month before it comes out. Gonna preorder the system a little after E3 that way I can pay just a little bit at a time.

Now I mean this could be a $1 fee or $2 fee or something along those lines but it still doesn't offer much for used gamers. The process will allow for the original owners of a particular Xbox One game to no longer need game discs when playing their game as it will be installed on the hard drive, but selling the game or lending it to someone will deactivate your install of that game if the additional user pays the fee to have the game installed on their system. At this time, Microsoft has not commented on how much it will cost for second-hand game users to install the game onto their Xbox One hard drive. May 21, 201313 yr Neither Xbox or PS4 is offering backwards compatibility. I really don't see a big problem with it though. If a ton of people have games they still want to play on their 360 they'll probably be keeping their system anyway. The only problem I have is all my of xbox live arcade games will be gone forever when I make the jump.

Microsoft said there will be 15 exclusive games due out in the first year of Xbox One. 8 of those will be brand new games, 7 will be from current franchises. My question to you is which current 7 franchises will make up the games due out in year one? Here are my guesses. 1. Forza 5 (obvious) 2. Halo 5 3. Fable 4 4. Gears of War 4 5. Left 4 Dead 3 6. Crackdown 3 7. Some variation of a current Kinect game (Kinect Sports 3, Adventures 2, etc.)

May 21, 201313 yr Author Right now there is word that consumers would have to pay full MSRP for used games in order to play them. And you could go to a friends house and play your game but you have to be logged into your account. It's all a mess right now and if this is in fact true and Sony doesn't do this as well then Microsoft will lose a lot of people.
May 22, 201313 yr I buy the majority of my games used or on sale through Steam. Unless it's a big blockbuster title I'm going to be playing day one with my friends, I normally just wait around on a used copy. I wonder if they will end up with some online used game market powered by Gamestop or something.

They said you could trade and sell your games online through the new Xbox so who knows what it's gonna be. Be nice for some clarification though.
