Boone has a very nice schedule this year and they were able to get a solid scrimmage partner in Butler.

 

Lots of positives in Florence.

Not bad. Good district schedule, got a few local opponents that are really good, a return to Lexington like the old days in AAAA, and finishing with Catholic. The big question will be how well will they do against this slate?

Agree on all points.

 

Considering Boone was 1 and 10 last year anything will be an improvement. To answer your question, I believe Boone will win more than they lose in 2013. And no matter how the Rebels finish, I think every game on their schedule figures to be a dogfight that could go either way.

That's a pretty tough schedule...I think the real expectations at Boone should be to first win the district or secure at least a home playoff game...the rest are just preparatory games for those.

True. And that district has proven to be wide open several times recently. If I'm not mistaken, Campbell County won the district a couple years ago with a 3-7 overall record. They improved upon that record the next season. I think the Boone County folks would be wise to use that as their compass for this season: win district games and host a playoff game. The overall record may not be great, but the improvement will pay off in 2014.

I am thinking Boone only had four home games last year so that makes complete sense.
