April 24, 201313 yr Officials ruin college basketball for most. The "absence" of officiating all together in the NBA lets you enjoy more raw talent. I agree with this but there is no doubt it is much more difficult to officiate college than pro. Lesser talent, everyone trying to draw a charge, playing defense with your hands, lower body bumps and pushes ... that college stuff doesn't work in the NBA. And the refs don't have to make 20 calls a game on the above in the NBA like in college.
April 24, 201313 yr The NBA never gets interesting for me until the Conference Finals usually, sometimes the round before. Depends on who's playing. If a team is playing a certain style I like, then I'll latch onto that and follow them through the playoffs. I used to be glued to the D'Antoni Suns teams through every game when they were running crazy fast offense. This year, like two years ago, I'm riveted by the Nuggets. That's a team with no real star power that put together the third-best record in the West. I'm glued to that whole series. The Warriors, another team that I can't look away from, helps that series' appeal immensely as well.

April 24, 201313 yr Author What do you mean? I think there is just as much of that in the NBA, it's just not called as much. There used to be. Now that people get fined for flopping we don't see DWade, KG and Paul Pierce falling down when people breathe on them like we used to see them do.
April 24, 201313 yr What do you mean? I think there is just as much of that in the NBA, it's just not called as much. I disagree. I almost can't watch college any more because of all the charges (that refs call wrong at least 50% of the time); the out and out grabbing and holding out front in college; the pushing below the waist underneath that refs don't call. Just watch this year's title game again and the way it was played and officiated. That is where we are in college basketball. They need to fix it big time this off season. I like college more than the NBA but college is getting difficult to watch.
April 26, 201313 yr I don't think the Lakers win tonight. Spurs playing better and it doesn't really matter that its in LA.
April 26, 201313 yr Mike Bresnahan @Mike_Bresnahan 12m D'Antoni: Nash still doubtful for tonight. Darius Morris will start for Lakers, alongside Nash, Goudelock or Duhon. Meeks also doubtful.
April 27, 201313 yr Author And this is why I didn't want LA to make the playoffs. I thought they had a chance to beat the Spurs but geez....
April 28, 201313 yr Author No Nash, Blake, Metta, Kobe......I wonder if the Spurs will rest Duncan, Ginobli and Parker? Might as well.
