I failed to mention that Nevan, from what I understand excels in the most important stat.......he is an excellent student, academics are very high with Nevan. :thumb::thumb:

You are correct oldrambler, 4.125 GPA and 24 on the ACT. He has been contacted by Brown and the Naval Academy as well. He is a Spanish Honor Society State Officer, a member of the National Spanish Honor Society, is on the academic team, Beta Club, and competed in the State Community Problem Solving Competition.

I found out today that Nevan has also been invited the National Underclassman "Ultimate 100" Camp.

VERY Impressive! Not only is whoever that is lined up across from him pretty much gone but I am equally impressed with the way he can move/block down field. Nevan along with the rest of Raceland's line will go a long way in determining the Rams success this season. :thumb:

All sound great, imo any school that offers assistance/scholly for a college education shoud be considered. Hopefully there will be several more this season and after. I am sure that Nevan along with his family will weigh all options and choose what is best for him. I do think that the NAIA schools can't offer full athletic schollys but they can find other assistance, grants, academic schollys to a kid should they qualify.

I am looking more and more forward to this season.

NAIA schools normally put together a package of academic money, athletic scholarship, KEYS money, and financial aid if applicable. You can play at the NAIA level for free.

 

D1 is full scholarship, or no scholarship. No in-between.

 

D2 normally puts together a package like NAIA.

 

D3 can not offer athletic scholarships, but quite commonly puts together a nice package of academic money, KEYS money, and financial aid, which sometimes turns into a free education.
