I may have to buy a jersey...

spindoc, this is where you step in and say it would be a bad move by the Bengals because he doesn't fit their defensive alignment.

There's a reason the Steelers let him go. Hope he enjoys his visit, however, at his age, slower speed and diminishing skill set he needs to retire peacefully if that's possible for Harrison.

Although a humorous sideshow considering our history with him as a Steeler he would become a liability.

He would be an upgrade. He would help a bunch on passing downs.

An upgrade for where and what? He is an outside linebacker in a 3/4 defense that is use to rushing the passer. The Bengals play a 4/3 and I don't see him being an upgrade at all as an outside linebacker in a 4/3 it doesn't fit what he does.

This would be an awful decision by the Bengals.

Completely agree. He does not fit what the Bengals do on defense at all, it would be a horrible move.

The Bengals have nobody with experience starting at strong side.

Shows how many of you pay attention the to Bengals defense. In passing downs the Bengals use 3 down linemen. Harrison would rush from the out side and be a perfect fit.

The Steelers also tried to sign him back.

James Harrison reportedly told he's done with Steelers - NFL.com

You must have some inside sources others do not AirRaid. Not sure what part of no interest in Harrison is difficult to understand. You may get your wish and Harrison may get signed. His performance will speak for itself. Mediocre, long in the tooth veterans are liabilities. Why lose a year on him when resources can be allocated on a younger prospect with upside.

The draft and free agent free for all following is where the Bengals will have to address remaining need.

If the price is right maybe; if he wants big money move on

The Steelers also tried to sign him back.

No they didn't. Asked him to take a cut, his agent declined, they parted ways.

If you play a 4-3 I wouldn't want James in coverage. If was an opposing OC, I'd iso my back on him every time in the route. However, he is virtually immovable against the run. He doesn't pursue like he once did, but he still has some game left. I don't think he fits a 4-3, but obviously, the Bengals are considering it. I wish him luck, he is one of my all time favorites.

I don't care what kind of defense they run. He's old and washed up. He'd be a downgrade from whatever they'd be playing there as is.

You're mistaken. He's still a stud if he's healthy in a 3-4.
