The Cards seem to be letting the Shockers dictate this game.

 

Didn't really like that 4th foul call on Dieng...seemed weak.

Cards have gotten two huge threes following missed front end of 1 and 1s for Wichita State. Theoretically as much as a 10 point swing there. Shockers have an advantage being in the bonus this early in the game, but have blown it so far. Fouls are hurting UL with Dieng saddled with 4 and Smith and Blackshear with 3 apiece.

Can someone tell me why an official's timeout couldn't be expanded into the media timeout that could've occurred at the same time? One of my biggest gripes with sports in general are quick commercial breaks like that. It's not as frequently bad as football where they'll go to commercial after a score, come back for the kickoff, and go again, but it's irritating that we sat through a break, came back for 11 seconds, and then went right back for a couple of minutes again.

These refs have to start doing a better job against Wichita State's time wasting after UL baskets. They let 9 seconds go off the clock with the Shockers just staring at the ball on the ground on the baseline. It's not that I blame Wichita State, I blame the ref who's not forcing that issue. Watch them, they do it after almost (or maybe not almost) every basket.

I noticed it as well. Really smart of the Shockers but can't believe the officials weren't doing anything about it.

That could be a flagrant foul on UL on that loose ball.
