Lawnboy13
NewCath's Taylor Burkart throws her 1st career No-Hitter last night. :dancingpa The Breds waste no time in getting on the scoreboard as they plate 5 in the 1st. The big blows, a 2 run double by Loren Zimmerman and an RBI triple off the bat of Kristen Schreiber, an absolute "JACK" that one-hopped the fence (250 ft.). They score 6 more times in the 4th, 3 on RBI singles from Christina Enzweiler, Molly Mertle, & Amanda Schabel and 1 on an RBI groundout by Morgan Martini. The Breds infield did an awesome job on "D" tonight, as SS Michaela Ware, 3B Loren Zimmerman, & 2B Casey Kohls between them made 8 plays flawlessly, and Burkart helped her cause fielding two as well. After the game when asked how many hits she gave up, Burkart, as well as her teammates, all had a dazed look on their faces and responded, "I don't know....how many"? You got a love girls!!!!! :lol2: Scott......(2-6) 0-0-0-0-0---0-0-5 NewCath (3-2) 5-2-1-6-x---14-8-1 Hitting NewCath - Zimmerman 2-4, double, 3RBI. Enzweiler 1-3, 2RBI. Schreiber 1-3, triple, 1RBI. Must be proud of your defense with only 5 k's on a no hitter
Zap
Am I crazy or didn't NCC already beat Scott this year badly or is this from same game? Typically teams from different regions don't play each other twice do they unless a tourney is involved?

FarBeyondDriven
Congrats to Taylor!!!!! No hitters don't happen very often. Good thing she has been able to overcome her father's genetics, mom must have been a pretty good athlete.
