Was anyone else bothered by the new trophies? I myself thought they looked cheap. We have one true state champion in basketball, so why would the KHSAA want to cheapin the greatest show in basketball?

Can we get a picture of the trophy so we can give our opinion?

I'd take the old semifinal trophy over the current championship trophy.

As Barkley would say, "that looks absolutely turrible."

Didn't realize last year's was ugly too. The old ones were sweet.

As I recall from watching this year's Final online, the champ and runner-up trophies are the same except for the color of the basketball. Gold for champ, silver for runner-up.

The trophies just made the moment feel like any other tournament. Our state tourney is the king and so should the awards.

Too much wood and not enough bling. Cutting programs and cheapening the trophies. :ohbrother:

Was it really? That's a strange concept to think it would take that long for it to take the trophy down. I'm pretty sure the girl's trophy was the same too.

Yeah but they had to be the same for all sports not just basketball to basketball
